Girls' Night

No offense to my girlfriends, but this was one of the better girls' nights I've been to in a while. The company was divine, and we saw all the sights Greenfield had to offer.

We started the evening with a strawberry fest, where Miss Thing realized she really likes the "cupcake" at the bottom of the bowl. Score! That is definitely NOT my favorite part, so what a good way to share.

We went to a concert on the plaza. I can't remember off the top of my head who was singing, but I'm pretty sure we were the youngest people in attendance. Maddie got to "shake Maddie's booty", but not Mommy. Apparently, there are unwritten rules I should follow. But she shared her popcorn with me, so that was a good trade. No booty shaking for stale popcorn.

We went to an art house after that (awesome!), and then into a small cafe called "Rock, Paper, Scissors" where Maddie dined on "my applesauce" and "my drink".
I could have sworn the smoothie was mine, but again, those unwritten rules are so very tricky.

We capped off the evening with a chick flick (Dirty Dancing -- maybe not appropriate, but I don't think she'll remember) and an extra late bedtime.

We missed the boys, but not too much.

My Perfect Night

No husband, no kids, just me and a baseball game. Ahhh...

Last of the Spring Soccer

It was a wet and rainy season, but we all survived.
Despite the tears that were shed at the beginning of the season, Nick ended up having fun, and says he wants to play again in the fall.

He's pretty proud of his "very first trophy". He is convinced it's pure gold. Cooper won't let that stand and feels compelled to argue with him each time he mentions it, but Nick is not deterred. That thing is real; he can see his reflection. End of story.
