Look What I Can Do!

I can do this with three clicks.

This takes a few more.  It's a picture taken last year, but it looks old, doesn't it?  Why do I want to do this?  Who knows, but it's cool.

Ignore the goofy brother and focus on the squishy nephew.  Two clicks, thank you very much.

I'm playing with Adobe Lightroom.  In April, the program that I've downloaded for free will self-destruct, but my computer will still be safe (according to my favorite computer guy).  After that, I will have to buy Lightroom.  And buy it, I will.  I am having the most fun with this program.  What literally has taken me hours on Photoshop takes me 2-3 clicks with Lightroom.  I can never get the results I want in Photoshop, either.  There is it in Lightroom...clickety, click, click.  Oh, happy day!!

See that "Blue Mophead" at the bottom of each photo?  That's my watermark for my new photography business...yeah, right.  But if I were to go into business, that would be what I call it, and I feel that with this program, I'm >.< that much closer to doing just that.

Now, I just need to save my pennies -- about 29,900 of them (or more) before April when this will all be a distant memory.

In the meantime, I'll be playing, playing, playing like there is no tomorrow!

Lego Land

This little man lives in lego land.  He's spent the past week more focused on his creations than ever before.  And they're quite the creations.  While I'm still perfecting my tower, he's built a boat/plane/racecar/loader and each and every detail has been carefully considered. 

He studies each component, takes a test drive, then back to the drawing board for improvements.  He also photographs his creations (nope...I didn't take that picture up there; he did).  Not bad for the age of five.

The End of the Line

We've reached the end of the birthday line.  No more excuses for cakes and overgrown cookies in this house until August.  What a sad state of affairs. 

And just for the record, "Jeff's cake" (really a Colts' cookie) didn't really glow like crazy because he's old, but because the kids wanted to use all the candles we own -- a 5, 7, 1, four random candles, and a handful of dinosaurs.  Festive, indeed.

Mini-Me

Yes, it's come to this -- matching jammies.  If they weren't the most comfortable jammies I've ever worn, and if they hadn't cost $4.99 with free shipping -- I would even make fun of myself.  As it stands, I'm making fun of the other three people in this house for NOT having these jammies.  All the cool people are wearing them; they're fresh for 2010.

I know I've been slacking with the blogging. However, it's not my fault. I tried desperately to load pictures the other day, and it's official...blogger hates me. The crazy thing wouldn't accept that I was moving forward and trying to update. Highly annoying.

So, without further ado, I will now attempt to post my favorite shots from the last half month or so (apparently in no particular order.  Excuse me while I go beat my head against the wall over there).
