Quotes

Very rarely do I quote something to someone, but at least once I day, I'll run a favorite quote through my head.  Today, one of my favorite blogs has a new (to me) quote that will be frequently replayed in my mind::

Find out who you are, and do it on purpose.  ~Dolly Parton

Seriously?  I'm going to start quoting Dolly Parton?  (oh, brother.)

My other favorite quote that I like to say to myself: 

Put on your big girl panties and just deal with it. 

I don't know who said that first, but it's kept me in line several times since I heard it.

I wonder if anyone will ever quote me.  I'd better start watching my p's and q's just in case.

So my super-stealthy pal, Mynde, gave me this hat.  I know it's unbelievably fashionable, but it's also unbelievably functional.  Mynde outlines it all on her blog, but the run down is that it's wired for sound.  It has headphones built into it that plug into an mp3 player. 

It just so happens that I'm going on a St. Patty's Day 5K walk on Saturday, and the weather forecast is iffy at best.  In looking at the coverage of past events, I've noticed that there seems to be an underlying contest to look as goofy as humanly possible during this walk. 

I'm thinking I have a chance at an honorable mention...especially since Jeff has informed me that I've got the hat on backwards.  Apparently having the wire dangle across my face is not the way to go, and the patch should go in the back.  I'm so glad he pointed it out -- how embarrassing that could have been.
