The World's Most Patient Cat

This is the look I get from Checkers every night once the kids have gone to bed. 

"Is it over?"
"Am I safe?"
"Are they gone?"
"Did all of that really happen?"
"What next?"
"What have you done to me?" 
"Hold me."

I imagine it's the same look exhanged between Jeff and me.
